What do you think of when you think of the place called TANK? Some people may think of our headquarters in Ft. Wright, while others think of the Bus Stop sales office. Another may think of the Covington Transit Center, while someone else might think of the Park & Ride lot that they use each day. All of these locations represent TANK and you're in the right place to learn more about them.

TANK Headquarters

TANK's main office is located at 3375 Madison Pike, Fort Wright, KY 41017. This facility gives TANK a well-equipped maintenance shop, a bus storage area, a park & ride lot for passenger use, as well as close proximity to I-275 and I-75, two of Northern Kentucky's major highways. This facility also houses our dispatch center, the information call center, and administrative staff.

The Bus Stop

The Bus Stop, located at 120 E. Fourth Street in the arcade of the Mercantile Building between Fourth and Fifth streets, has been operating as a TANK sales office since 1996. In the spring of 1997, Metro joined TANK in the Bus Stop sales office. This allows for customers from both systems to purchase bus passes, tickets and tokens, pick up bus schedules, and get information and assistance from TANK and Metro staff all in one convenient stop. The store is open from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Bus Stop is centrally located between TANK's main downtown stops and Metro's Government Square transit hub.

Covington Transit Center

In August 1998, TANK opened its Covington Transit Center, housed within the Kenton County riverfront parking facility. The Covington Transit Center, often referred to with the acronym CTC, has improved TANK's transfer and hub operations in Covington, while also providing excellent fringe park and ride arrangements for Cincinnati workers. The CTC is an enclosed facility for those catching a bus or making a transfer. Nearly all TANK routes, with the exception of several express buses and the Southbank Shuttle, make a stop in the CTC during their trip.

Park and Rides

TANK currently operates 19 Park and Ride locations throughout Northern Kentucky. Park and Rides have become extremely popular in recent years because of the convenience and cost savings. A passenger traveling to downtown Cincinnati will realize a significant cost savings by using the free Park and Ride location served by express route service. The average suburban commuter using a TANK Park and Ride saves close to $9 a day by riding TANK over driving their personal automobile. These savings result from a short auto trip to the local park and ride, the monthly pass discount fare, and free parking.
